Welcome to the GOAT minecraft server! Home of the most amazing players across the minecraft universe. This server is invite only and is restrcited to friends and family of the ture GOATs. Beacuse of this you must be whitelisted to play on this server. If you're in the know then you'll know how to reach out to the server admin with your account UUID and join in on the fun.

At the top of th page you'll find a few handy links that you map enjoy. There's a live interactive map to display our wonderful world in 3D. You'll also find a link to join our discord if you desire to participate in voice communications (chime usage will result in a ban). Please note that this server is running on version 1.18 of minecraft.

Rules

  1. This server is for us to have some fun as a group and forget about work. Leave the work discussions at the office.
  2. This server is limited to GOATs, firends of GOATs, and GOAT family.
  3. Server resources are limited, please avoid building any lag machines.
  4. You are welcome to use any and all client-side mods you wish.
  5. Joining the discord is encouraged for voice communication but not required.
  6. The usage of Chime for voice communications will result in a permanent ban.

FAQ's and Mods


1. So what's the deal with this server?

This is meant to be a fun community server for the GOATs as well as friends and family of the goats. The server is set to survival mode and running on normal difficulty on the 1.18 version of minecraft java edition. Everybody starts on a shared continent but you can build wherever you'd like. We have support for player run shops if you'd like to try your hand at selling items or are looking to be able to buy the fruit of another player's efforts. At the end of the day you should just have fun. Play as much or as little as you feel.

2. How do I join?

To prevent potential griefing this server runs on an allow-list. To gain access to the server please lookup your account UUID and send a message to Daznal/mcpruitt to be added. Once you are added it is as simple as opening your minecraft client and connecting to mc.thegoats.us!

3. Can I use mods?

You are welcome to use whatever client-side mods you like! If you have a suggestion for a server based mod please reach out to Daznal/mcpruitt to get it added to the server. There is a mod pack listed in the navigation that includes some good mods to get started with (easier crafting, a minimap, a worldmap); however, if you're a vanilla type of person that is allowed as well.

4. What mods are running on the server?
  1. BlueMap - This mod generates a website that you can use to view the server offline including where different players are.
  2. Shopkeepers - This mod provides the ability for players to setup their own shops to buy or sell items. See below for more details.
  3. Anit-Enderman Grief - Prevents enderman from stealing blocks (and breaking farms, those jerks!).
  4. Durability Ping - Sends you an on-screen notification when your current item (such as a pickaxe) is getting close to being destroyed so you know to repair it.
  5. More Mob Heads - This greatly increases the frequency that you get heads when killing mobs (spiders, enderman, etc...). Awesome for decoration and a lot of fun.
  6. Player Head Drops - If you decide to venture into PVP and kill a fellow goat this mob will let you collect their head to wear or put on display.
  7. Multiplayer Sleep - Makes it so a single player can sleep and skip the night time instead of needing everybody online to sleep.
5. How do the shops work?

This shop makes use of the Shopkeepers plugin for play run shops. To start your own shop you'll need a shopkeeper egg though. You can get one by heading to the goat temple at spawn. Inside you will find a shop that will sell you a shopkeeper egg for the low price of one diamond.
